Nikolai
Galakhov (1928) Galakhov attended art college in Kazan from 1942-1947. He entered the Repin in 1947 and graduated in 1953. He has had good success as a professional artist. His work focuses on the many moods of nature. Like the French impressionists, he will paint scenes from slightly different angles and different times of day. He is listed in "A Dictionary of Russian and Soviet Painters," page 92. We particularly like
his river scenes and lake scenes in the winter.
